Double Dutch Clogs
2001, five pairs of clogs

Double Dutch is a small collection of clogs and aprons initiated by INEKE HANS/ARNHEM. The clog collection arose from a longstanding interest in folklore and traditional customs. To make some of the pairs of clogs, old trades like knitting, crochet and embroidery were used. By changing forms and materials, and above all by playing with the context of the well known Dutch clog, five pairs of clogs resulted, each with their own character and function, balancing on the borders of product and sculpture.
