Ineke Hans (NL) is a critical designer of furniture, products, exhibitions and spaces with content. She explores new design strategies, works for clients and leading international manufacturers on product typologies to fit our future social context. SHORT BY DATES:
1998: STUDIO INEKEHANS is set up in the Netherlands after studying Product Design in Arnhem (NL) and graduating with an MA in Furniture Design from the RCA in London. Ineke initiated furniture and product collections herself, still sold through INEKEHANS COLLECTION, before focussing more on work for clients from 2004 onwards.
2015: Ineke returns to the UK to set up a small personal canalside studio and research projectINEKEHANS SALON. With these London Salons she explores 'the future of furniture design and the changing position of the designer'. The Salons are concluded with the pamphlet and exhibition: EXPLORE & ACT.
2017: Ineke is appointed professor Design & Social Context at the University of the Arts in Berlin.
2019: her small, personal office is moved to Berlin and Ineke works from there and from Arnhem with project-related assistants.
2021: REX, the first Dutch deposit chair is launched and wins 7 international recognitions for design & sustainability (a.o. Dutch Design Awards, Bundespreis Ecodesign (DE), Chicago Green Good Design Award). 
2026: her public interiors for Valkhof Museum (NL) are revealed (architect: Ben van Berkel / UNStudio)
Upto today Ineke Hans is seen as one of the leading Dutch designers.
- Her portfolio contains work for daring and caring international manufactures like Arco, Cappelini, Circuform, Iittala, Magis, Offecct, RoyalVKB and Functionals and clients such as: Cooper Hewitt Museum (NY), Royal Dutch Forestguard, Shorefast Foundation (CA) and governmental organizations. 
- Ineke won prestigious international awards. Her work for the Fogo Island Inn (CA) was highly praised and work is purchased by museums and collectors globally.
- Seeing design as both a problem and a solution to climate change and our current society, Ineke made a number of exhibitions exploring new opportunities and directions for impactful design. 
- Ineke Hans is regularly involved in international juries, talks and critical debates on design.
