bookshelf and ladder (graduation work RCA)
The bookcase stands at an angle and tapers. So it wants to fall forwards and sideways. The weight is in the top, but the stainless steel ladder bolted onto the MDFbookcase supports it and prevents it from falling down. By using the ladder it is possible to reach the bigger books on the top shelves. The lower shelves are less high and shallow, for storing small books and paperbacks. Initially the bookcase was made as one piece. Later it was divided into four components.
