Design journalist and author Max Fraser invited more than 150 established and emerging designers to create a one-off artwork for Maggie's Centres that expresses the 'Joy of Living', using just three pieces of differently coloured A4 paper. The exhibits were available to view at One Poultry in the City of London early September 2017 and auctioned on 17 Sept.
Maggie Centres provide free practical, emotional and social support to people with cancer and their family and friends. All proceeds from the paper projects supported Maggies.
Ineke Hans: I wanted to and offer something cheerful for Maggies to give joy and comfort. I love to use materials efficiently, so when laser cutting the paper we used every inch of our three coloured sheets to the maximum for these five exquisite and extraordinary new flower species to offer joy for living.
